PressForward was a research and development project that included researching digital scholarly communication practices, prototyping publication methods, and developing a new open source plugin for WordPress.
As Project Director and Co-Principal Investigator from 2011-2014, I developed the research agenda, distributed findings, and advised scholars, librarians, and societies on maximizing public access. I also directed the content, schedule, and technical processes for two experimental publications, cultivated pilot partners, and directed the agile development of the PressForward Plugin for WordPress. Initial funding from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, 2011-2014, and since renewed for implementation.
